Wave is such a beautiful, multifaceted genre that carries numerous tones under its umbrella. Today, we’re venturing into the world of synthwave, where you’ll find Waveshaper with his newly released single, ‘Friends Again’. The single heralds the approach of the producer’s upcoming album, which fans can expect to hear on the 17th of September via his own imprint. Taking gritty tones and pairing them with lighter touches, we’re given an idea of what to expect in the upcoming month

The producer has a long time affiliation with the well-known brand, New Retro Wave having been featured on the youtube channel, glowing recommendations on the site and working with several of the artists under the label. Waveshaper’s work was further recognised in the unique documentary The Rise of the Synths documentary alongside narrator John Carpenter which explored the origin and growth of the synthwave genre.
